Buses - Park & Ride 99

The Park & Ride 99 service runs from the car park on Butt Lane just west of Milton into Cambridge city centre and on to Addenbrooke's hospital and the Babraham Road Park & Ride site. Services run each way every ten minutes Monday to Saturday and every fifteen minutes on a Sunday throughout the day.

You can find the full timetable on the County Council web site Park and Ride pages.

Although it is outside the village it's cheaper than the the 9 service and faster so a lot of villagers walk, cycle or drive to Butt Lane Park and Ride west of Milton and pick up the bus from there.

Be warned however that part of the reason it's so fast is that it only stops at a very limited number of places between Park & Ride site and Addenbrooke's. These stops are:

  • Science Park (before 9am this is the stop in the Science Park itself, after 9am it's the stop outside Taylor Vinters opposite the Science Park entrance.
  • The Grafton (before 9am the bus goes via Maids Causeway not East Road but there's a stop at Napier Street).
  • City centre (either Emmanuel Street or Drummer Street)
  • Centennial Hotel (for the railway station)
  • Hills Road 6th Form College (before 10:30am northbound and after 3:15pm southbound only)

Your Park & Ride ticket can also be used on all Citi services, but sadly not on the 9 service back to Milton.
