Indeed - and sadly all too predictable despite bland assurances
from Royal Mail. I suspect the best algorithm for now will be to
ignore their advice to use the new codes immediately, and instead
stick with the old postcodes for a few months, until folk such as
BT get around to updating their databases. Of course that still
leaves the grief of updating your address in a few months time...
Don't forget that according to their chairman, Royal Mail don't
view household recipients as customers. Royal Mail want to make
their profits from big businesses who pay to send things, so any
changes are unlikely to be driven by consideration for recipients.
