I may need to jump ship if Virgin start being useless for me too.
Although I'm pretty much locked in with
the ADSL speed that I'd get if I did change.

Yes, I get the occasional ISO, but I must be downloading outside their
peak period.
Not had any problem with proxies since NTL dumped the 'transparent' ones.

Its just pot luck as to which one accidentally gets it right for you.

I had pretty much the same with BT.
Put up with the appalling service and repeated billing errors for a
couple of years.
My final straw was when they suddenly started sending all correspondence
to an incorrect address, and then cut me off because I hadn't replied!
