As another data point, I'm on Virgin Media and not seeing any problems:

This suggests that it's not the entire village - I'm on Coles Road, and I
know that at least some of the people who've reported problems are on the
other side of High Street. Maybe it's an issue with one of the street boxes,
in which case it might help VM to fix the problem if they had a number of
reports tied to locations. Assuming that they have a system in place that
will actually log that information in a useful way, of course.
