I know several Village Fayre committee members are subscribers to this list so this seems the right place to congratulate them on yesterday's fayre which we both thought was the best ever. If you didn't go you missed a treat as the recreation ground was *full* - every bit of grass seemed to have stalls, rides, or events happening on it. Jake and I entered the dog obedience (not entirely successfully ;-)), we bought honey from the local apiary, indian snacks from Anil and his wife (yummie, although the chilli sauce was *hot*), a book from All Saints' (20p for a big fat paperback, what a bargain!) And I narrowly avoided buying a bag of doughnuts (yes, I am *still* on my diet, over halfway there now though). And we loved the bubbles <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2DazqgPHs8> but sadly I don't think they would have let me play in one of them. Anyway WELL DONE to the Village Fayre Committee.
