Yes, I'm told that Cambridge Sport Lakes Trust felt they were spreading themselves a bit thin with their events programme this year and they were in danger of trying to do too much and end up doing it badly if they had tried to deliver the Summer Celebration event this year as well as everything else. Other park events, including: - A Midsummer Night's Dream, Friday 20th August - Soulful Jazz by the Lake, Saturday 28th August - Food, Farming & Countryside Event, Sunday 12 September (which includes the 2010 Milton Produce Show of which more in Monday's Milton News) are still going ahead as planned. Apparently the only other scheduled event which has also been cancelled was the Bandstand Marathon which was cancelled because the funding for this was withdrawn but the music element was moved into the Parklife Event last month. -- Paul
