I like the tank trap plan too. There are some deep ditches running
alongside the allotments. Maybe we could divert them across the road?
If we had traffic lights in Milton itself, at the Ely end, which were
seriously biased towards Milton residents and at a point in the road
which was single track it might just work. You give 10 minutes green for
traffic leaving Milton but only 30 seconds green for traffic trying to
enter Milton. Leave the road unsurfaced as an added deterrent (so much
for all the political candidates claiming the credit for the
resurfacing. We've now changed our minds and want it left exactly as it is!)
This would be good for Milton residents. It would inconvenience people
who lived North of Milton but worked in Milton itself.
