It looks a possibility that the One Stop newsagents might reopen for business sometime next week, following Monday night's ram raid. Workmen, with the aid of portable lighting, were busy rebuilding the damaged part of the shop at about 8pm this evening (they must be getting good money to be working at that time of day) whilst I was on my way to the chippy for some sausage & chips. To prevent a repeat of last Monday's incident, I hope that consideration will be given to installing proper anti-ram raid posts where the concrete litter bins cum posts are at present (even those that were not destroyed last Monday are in poor condition, and they wouldn't survive another ram raid).
