Milton WI Meeting

The next meeting of the Milton Women's Institute will be on Tuesday (15/5) from 7:30-10pm in All Saints' Church Hall. Resolutions plus speaker Richard Miller "An Introduction to Tai Chi". Competition: Compose a suitable phrase to be put inside a fortune cookie. All welcome, especially new members. For further information contact Gill Offley on 293231.

Be a Sport Maker

Are you someone that enjoys sport and physical activity? A club that could get more of your members involved in local sport? Or need help running a local activity/event? Then attend a free 2 hour workshop - including a sporting taster session - from 10am to noon on May 19th at Milton Country Park.

Annual Parish Meeting

The Annual Parish Meeting is being held this Monday (23/4) at 8pm in the Bowls Pavilion. All are welcome. Please come and meet your local councillors and find out all that's been happening in Milton during the past year.

Lion & Lamb Jubilee Beer Festival

The Lion & Lamb have announced that they will be running a Beer Festival for the Jubilee Weekend at the beginning of June featuring around 18-24 real ales including a good selection from Milton Brewery.

Wildlife Watch in the Park

The next meeting of Wildlife Watch, the junior branch of The Wildlife Trusts, is being held next Saturday (28/4) in Milton Country Park and has the theme 'Meet the Bird Ringers'. They will be joining the RSPB staff to survey the birds in the Park. The main activity will be all about the' how' and 'why' of bird ringing. Blood Donating Session

Donating sessions are being held at the Community Centre on Thursday (19/4). Sessions are 1:00-3:15pm and 4:30-7:00pm. You can now book an appointment rather than simply turning up and waiting your turn. Call 0300 123 23 23 to do so.

Fen Road Level Crossing closed Tuesday night

Fen Road Level Crossing will be closed on Tuesday night (17-18/4) between 10pm and 6am to allow Network Rail to "re-stress the track".
