Re-Cycling Your Christmas Waste

As we work our way through Christmas South Cambridgeshire District Council are urging us not to forget about re-cycling. Apparently last Christmas they picked up about 5,000 tonnes of waste and recycling after the festive break and as each tonne of waste sent to landfill costs the Council £56 in taxes recycling extra waste produced this Christmas can both can protect the environment and and save us on our council tax.  read more ...

Christmas Bin Collections

Our bin collections by South Cambridgeshire District Council over the next few weeks shifted a bit because of Christmas and New Year. Village Litter Pick

Are you annoyed by litter in the village? Come and help do something about it!

The next village litter pick organised by the Parish Plan Environmental Group will be on Sunday (30/10), starting from the parish council office next to the bowls pavilion in Coles Road at 2pm. If you know you are intending to come please email and they will look out for you. Otherwise just turn up.  read more ...

Recycling Rigid Plastics

From garden furniture, plant pots, and non-electrical children's toys - they all can be recycled in Cambridgeshire. Residents can now recycle rigid plastics as part of a new recycling scheme being launched across all of Cambridgeshire County Council's nine Household Recycling Centres, including Milton.  read more ...
