This web site is owned by me, Paul Oldham. You can find out far more than you really need to know about me on my home pages.

milton.org.uk was actually my first choice as the domain for the village web site but at the time it was owned by a domain squatter. I have a feeling it was a spotty yoof. He was certainly incompetent if he was domain squatting as he never bothered to answer mail I sent him asking if he wanted to sell it.

Eventually, long after miltonvillage.org.uk had become established as the domain for the village web site, milton.org.uk became free as he didn't renew the registration, so now it's mine, all mine [insert insane cackling here].

I've actually had the domain for a fair while now but I thought I'd better put it to some practical use or give it up, so I've created these pages on which to put random things which don't, for whatever reason, seem right to put on the village web site.

If you are interested in the technicalities pages on this web site are generated by Opus, a content management engine developed by The Hug. We have used it to develop web sites for a variety of organisations and other people have done so too as it's "open source" and so available for anyone to use without payment.

It's hosted on our own colo server, a User Mode Linux virtual machine provided for us by Bytemark Hosting.

Oh, and in the unlikely event that you want to advertise on this site then do and I'm sure we can come to some arrangement.
