tesco turns the corner

Written: 19/07/05

Long time readers of this web site (yes, both of you) may remember I wrote a long rant about Tesco after we were visited at parish council by their customer services manager, Brian Quinn, whose attitude to helping the village left a lot to be desired.

At last night's parish council meeting Hazel Smith reported on recent meetings she'd had with the new manager there and it all seemed dreadfully positive: they've donated a wheel chair to the village, they've sorted out the belisha beacons on their site, they've improved the litter picking, they've even fixed the clock.

On top of this they're now going to install CCTV in the side passage, something Mr Quinn said they wouldn't do as he didn't see the problem of youths hanging around in the passage as Tesco's problem.

It also transpires that after 18(?) years at Milton Tesco Mr Quinn has moved on. I don't think he'll be missed.
