The Milton Country Park Produce Show is being held as part of the Food, Farming and Countryside
Day organised by Cambridge Sports Lakes in Milton Country Park on the edge of Cambridge.

The 2009 show was a great success, with almost 160 entries from 35
people. The winner of the Cook Award for the Overall Winner was
Clarke Brunt  - congratulations to him and thank you to everyone
who took part and helped bring the show about. Next year's show
will be on Sunday 12th September 2010. As 2010 is the International
Year of Biodiversity,  the Produce Show will have a heritage fruit &
veg element to it as a celebration - watch this space for more details
nearer the time.

Rules:
Essentially, entries must be grown/created/produced by the entrant, as appropriate.
More details are in the entry form and we've drawn up some extra guidelines to help
you out - click here for .doc format or here for .pdf format. If you are not sure about
anything, please contact the organisers at  produceshow@milton.org.uk .

Each class has awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. In addition, The Cook Award for
the Overall Winner
will be presented to the person who earns to the most points,
with 1st place giving 4 points, 2nd place 3 points, 3rd place 2 points and unplaced
entries 1 point. So the more you enter, the more points you add up.

Cups will also be awarded to the best exhibit in each category.

How to enter:
Download the schedule and entry form (click here for .doc format or here for .pdf format). For
best results use your printer's 'booklet' setting, if it has one. Copies can also be collected from
Milton Country Park Visitors' Centre. The closing date for entry forms in 2009 was Saturday 19th
September.

The cost per entry is 50p (except for those in the children and young people's categories, which
are free)  and you can enter as many different classes as you like.For example, if you are entering
a cabbage in class 3 and two photos in class 55, the total cost is £1.50. Payment may be by cash
or cheque, made payable to Cambridge Sports Lakes Trust.  Please leave your payment at the
Visitors' Centre along with your entry form.

Home produce
  • Labeling should be neat, straight, show contents of jar and date when made.
  • All jars should be spotlessly clean, no finger marks.
  • Cakes, scones and biscuits etc. should be displayed on a plate with a doyley and covered with cling film.
  • No marks from cake rack should appear on top of cake.

Photography
  • Max. 5 entries per person, with no more than 3 in one class
  • Prints can be mounted or unmounted, but total size should not exceed A3.
  • Photos may be colour or black and white or colour at the photographer's choice.
  • Photos in categories 55 - 58 may be cropped using a computer, but no other computer manipulation is allowed.
  • Photos in category 59 may be manipulated in any way the photographer chooses.
  • Entrants may choose to give their photo a title. This should be written on the front of the card, which will be supplied on the day.
