In Milton we have a have our rubbish collected in wheeled bins.

There are two bins: black and green and they are collected on alternate Tuesdays¹. In broad terms black is for general waste and green is for compostable waste. The latter includes garden waste, cardboard, and food scraps.

On the same day that the green bin is emptied your two green boxes are also emptied, which gives you the opportunity to re-cycle other sorts of waste, typically glass, tins, aluminium foil and plastic bottles.
