Good man, at least someone knows how to quote (and good choice of mail
software, Thunderbird is *great*).

That's curious. I wonder why I set it up to do that? Oh, possibly to
stop people quoting it over and over. I think what I should do is put a
"-- " prefix on the .sig, then Thunderbird will strip it off for you
without you having to do anything. Let's try it now ...
