The Stagecoach depot in Cowley Road is fully staffed at the moment but that
could change at any time.
Anybody who was living in Milton 20 years or so ago (I wasn't, but had to go
the Farm College one week in four as part of a Youth Training Scheme
course - remember them?) might remember that the 182 (later 82) went between
Drummer Street & Waterbeach via Chesterton & Milton. It was only hourly as I
seem to recall - a lot less frequent than the Citi 2 is.
If anyone wants to see what the real-time information system will look like,
one of the new displays (not working yet) has just been put up at the City
Football Ground stop in Milton Road (Ely side). Some more (being tested) can
be found at the Addenbrookes Hospital bus station. Apparently it has the
facility for you to either dial or text from your mobile the display at the
stop closest to your home to find out when the next bus is, so you're not
left waiting in the cold (that's if the County Council have specified it).
Martin.
