I saw a snake today around lunchtime next door to 33 High Street. It was sliding through the grass next to the old estate wall. It was about 2cm wide and had a light brown body with a small dark diamond pattern. I've looked at pictures online and I'm pretty sure it's not a grass snake although I couldn't be positive it's an adder either, as adders seem to have large diamonds on their back. It's the first snake I think I've ever seen outside a zoo. Anyone else seen one in the village? Tim
