Our bungalow was built at about the same time and it's never occurred to me I needed to worry about lead. It's asbestos I worry about. We've got an asbestos cold water header tank. Best advice is to leave it be as it's good and solid but I wonder what other asbestos board there might be around the house (soffits for example).
