If the field near the A14 was as lovely as it use to be - many people would
be pressing for the land to remain as open green space and would be grateful
it was protected as Green Belt.
One thing I have learned about planning is that:-
If someone can not get planning permission for a lovely green field or a
nice space near homes (back garden development for e.g.) then all they have
to do is fill it with rubbish and smelly and noisy things, then when they
apply for planning permission everyone is in favour - because they say
anything is better than that mess! - does this sound familiar?
My view is therefore is we can not allow this type of behaviour win
otherwise we are opening the doors to all sorts of problems.
