I'm sure that the City think they end at the southern border of the A14,
but South Cambs think they begin at the northern border of the A14. Thus
there is a bit in the middle, that is, where it is on the ground, like the
carriageway of the A14, Highways Agency. Sadly, owing to the nature of a
bridge, it's up in the air and thus no-man's-land!
Or, both councils begin and end above the central crash barrier, thus
needing to work out exactly above where on the A14 the problem is on the
bridge. Maybe we need to draw a "meridian" on the bridge - that would be
useful graffiti (tongue in cheek of course).........
It's even more fun trying to work out where one council ends and t'other
begins elsewhere (towpath, bits of Cherry Hinton where the line wiggles
wildly for example).
