I don't think anyone's arguing with you. But if you remember the JC
bridge cost UKP2,000,000 and putting one here wouldn't cost a lot less.
The total budget for the P&R site was about UKP3,000,000 I think.
So it's not going to happen. That leaves us with bodging the existing
bridge to make it a bit safer (although it will still be pretty poor for
cyclists with those 90 degrees turns, especially if you're got a tandem
and trailer like Tim!) or going with an "at grade" crossing.
