Surely the onus of childrens health should be on the parents to provide
nutritional meals for their children.?
My children had school meals in their time, but came home to a decent
meal after wards as well. My grandchildren also come home to decent
meals nowdays, although they also have school meals.
It is total hog wash to say that the schools should provide the basic
needs of childrens nutrition. I know some children who go to school
without breakfast, rely on a school meal for their lunch and then go
home to nothing after school. I believe that the government should be
addressing this, and find out why the parents elect to feel that the
schools should be feeding their children their main meal of the day.It
would be interesting to know what some parents do actually do for their
children.
By the way a biscuit, whether chocolate or not, is in no way *junk*
food, and can be used correctly just as well as any other food.
We all have our own ways of considering what is * junk* food, and what is
not, but I have found over the years far too many parents who feel that
they should ram their ideas on to everyone else. By all means live your
lives as you see fit, but please dont be so patronising to assume that
everyone should be veggie/eat so called healthy foods/must do it this
way,etc etc etc..
Incidently my children/grandchildren arent over weight, are very rarely
ill, and enjoy life, with no hang ups about food.!
