Despite many threads on Milton Chat about Virgin Media I've only seen
problems with our connection once or twice in two years. I suspect
part of the reason for the threads is probably that I think the
majority of those online in the village use VM, and asking around
means we find out if the problems are widespread or likely to require
an engineer. Believe me that you won't find that out from VM customer
support.
The reason why I think you should reconsider shunning VM is that we
are a long way from the BT exchange in Waterbeach, so speeds with ADSL
are poor (think I was quoted around 2mb/s), whereas we can reliably
get 30mb/s on Virgin.
VM customer support though really is poor. Very poor.
