Its not really a question of stopping peoples *fun* , because these fireworks are over and above *normal* ones. They are extremely loud and scarey, and I wouldnt be surprised if they turned out to be illegal ones. I am all for celebrating on NOv 5th , and we usually go down to Midsummer Common to watch those. Personnally I dont think any one , nowdays, needs to set off fireworks in their own gardens at all.. I agree that Trafalger Day would be a great time to let off fireworks, especially as someone else says if it upset the French somewhat, but dont let on to the government will you.? Its about time we used our own trumpets ( or fireworks) to glorify one of our finest hours.!I have no doubt the French would have if THEY had won.!
