another Milton

As the other Miltons page makes clear there’s lots of Miltons but here’s a slightly different one. This is the birthplace of
Flora Macdonald, a Scottish hero.

It’s on South Uist in the Outer Hebrides. There’s nothing there now other than ruins but it used to be a small settlement of half a dozen houses. Paul and Beth Oldham went there on

in July 2004}.

The monolith is a monument and there’s a plaque behind it but the walls are (in a grandfather’s axe sort of way) the walls of a dwelling that was there at the time.
