There are lots of Halloween events on in Milton this weekend and on Monday. Please remember that Halloween is meant to be fun for everyone and today’s trick or treating is a game for children who want to play. If you haven’t caught up, the children now say “Happy Halloween” rather than “trick or treat” (doing away with “demanding money and goods with menances”) and they should only be calling at houses where they know they are welcome such as those that are obviously participating with decorations or signs.
If you feel that things are no longer a game do call the police non-emergency number on 101, or of course 999 if any of the following applies:
- A life is in danger
- A serious offence is in progress
- A suspect is at the scene
- An alleged offender is identified at any location
- There is an imminent likelihood of violence/damage to persons/property
