Hazel Smith Re-Elected
Hazel Smith has been re-elected as one of our two councillors on . The votes cast were as follows: Election Candidate Party Votes % Hazel Marion Smith Liberal Democrat 807 54.27% Gerda Ann Covell Conservative 471 31.67% Alexandra Mayer Labour 209 14.06% 19 ballot papers were spoiled and rejected. Total turnout was 48.16%.
South Cambridgeshire Remains Tory
In Thursday’s election for the Conservatives gained two wards (Teversham and Duxford) thus increasing their overall majority from one to five. The overall make up of the new council is now: 31 Conservative, 7 Independent, 1 Labour and 18 Liberal Democrat.
