Parish Council

Your parish council meets on Monday night (5/11) at the Bowls Pavilion starting at 7pm. The full agenda (Adobe/PDF, 258KB) can be found on their web site.

The meeting is starting half an hour early so that Bob Menzies, Head of Major Infrastructure Delivery, Strategy and Development, Cambridgeshire County Council and Keith Miles, Planning Policy Manager, South Cambridgeshire District Council, can give an update on the new Cambridge Science Park Station.

The following planning applications are being considered relating to properties in Milton village:

  • s/2115/12/fl – 5 Shirley Close – single storey rear extension.

Other items on the agenda include:

  • considering co-opting Gail Wynne-Jones onto the council.
  • supporting Horningsea Parish Council in trying to get the status of the footpath from Horningsea Road to Baits Bite Lock upgraded to officially allow its right of way by “human-powered wheeled vehicles (pedal cycles, pushchairs,
    wheelchairs)”.

  • possible routing of the 196 Whippet bus service (currently Cambridge to
Waterbeach via Horningsea/Fen Ditton) to include Milton as part of Cambridgeshire Future Transport – Next Stage.

  • Village Christmas lights.
  • A proposal to accept an offer from Bellway, developers of North Lodge Park, for two football pitches, pavilion and car park to fulfil their S106 obligations.
