As you know offer several ways of reminding you when and which bins to put out:

• On the village web site home page it’s always displayed
• At the bottom of every Milton News email if you’re a subscriber
• Via tweets from @MiltonNews if you follow us on Twitter

However there’s now also an app available for iPhone and Apple Watch, and for Android. The app was developed by Richard Jones from Waterbeach. It’s free and it has Milton black, blue and green bin collection dates in there and you can opt for it to give you an alert at a suitable juncture so that you don’t miss the bins. And it knows all about Bank Holidays too. There is a small and discrete advertising strip at the bottom of the page but that is unobtrusive and if you’ve opened it once and accepted the notifications, then you never have to open the app again.
