New Police Station in Milton

POLICE and Crime Commissioner (PCC), Jason Ablewhite is inviting local people to come and hear his plans for a new police station to serve the south of Cambridgeshire.

The Police and Crime Commissioner is proposing to build a new police station on the outskirts of Milton. Local people are invited to Milton Primary School on Monday 10th June from 7pm, where there will also be an opportunity to view the plans.

The new police station would replace Parkside Police Station for most operational work, although a Police Information Point and community policing team will remain within Cambridge city, although not necessarily at Parkside. Parkside has insufficient custody facilities and requires prisoners to be transported to Peterborough.

Police and Crime Commissioner, Jason Ablewhite said: “The meeting on 10th June is an opportunity for local people to listen to my proposals. There will also be an opportunity to view the plans and ask any questions. Following the meeting, I will be inviting people to have their say on my website.”

Information about the proposal can be found on the Commissioner’s website: https://www.cambridgeshire-pcc.gov.uk/get-involved/your-views/have-your-say/. A link to the survey will be available on the website from 9am on Monday 10th June. The survey will close at 5pm on Friday 5th July.
