Announcement from Milton Surgery

FROM MILTON SURGERY

Dear Patients,

As we move into the next phase of the COVID-19 pandemic we all would like say a huge thank you to our patients for your help and understanding this year.

Throughout the Lockdown we have remained open and available to look after you although you will probably be aware that we have been trying to provide as much care as possible by telephone / video consultation to reduce the risk of infection. Some routine procedures were temporarily postponed but we are now working through the back log.

However, some changes need to stay as we know the COVID-19 virus continues to circulate and cause serious illness. We will continue to provide care by telephone / video consultation wherever possible. Throughout the pandemic we have seen patients face to face where clinically necessary and this will continue. We will continue to protect each other by patients and staff wearing masks / face coverings for consultations and by using social distancing and restricting the number of people in the surgery building. We will continue to do everything we can to make sure that coming to the surgery does not put you at increased risk of catching COVID-19.

The single most helpful thing that you, our patients, have done is that you have heeded the advice about preventing the spread of the virus and Milton village has not been overwhelmed by the pandemic.

Although 111 remains in charge of advising and treating people who may have COVID-19 please remember that we are still here to look after you for other illnesses.
