This course is suitable for learners with basic drawing and painting skills, who have developed the necessary skills and knowledge to progress to an improver course.  You will have the opportunity to develop your skills focusing on elements such as composition, colour mixing and tone.  Learning in a creative and relaxed way, you will explore various drawing techniques using charcoal, pencil and graphite pencils and develop a deeper understanding of painting through working on some longer, more sustained work as well as quicker, more gestural work.  There will be 5 weeks of drawing followed by 5 weeks of painting.
