There is another mailing list for Milton which we suspect a lot of subscribers to Milton News will also want to be on. That’s the eCops list for our area. eCops is a service run by the local police that lets them keep in touch with the community.

They use it to tell us about local crime that’s going on in the area, ask for assistance, and also to offer crime prevention hints. For example here in Milton a recent email was about a spate of heating oil thefts and ways to prevent it happening to you too.

We made a conscious decision from the start not to echo postings for eCops here at Milton News as we thought they need encouraging and an obvious measure of the list’s success is the number of subscribers. If we subscribed and then told you via Milton News they would think they had one subscriber rather than 850+. So if you’ve not signed up already we would encourage you to do so by visiting
