Hot weather alert

If you haven’t noticed, it’s a bit hotter than usual. The Met Office has declared a Hot Weather Alert Level 2 in the East of England until 7am on Saturday, which means it is likely that there will be an average temperature of 30C by day and 15C overnight. This means that the heat is a serious risk to health. Please look out for vulnerable people – the elderly, the young and the chronically ill – and please remember that if the pavement is too hot for your bare feet, it’s too hot for your dog to walk on.
