Ideas for Milton’s Walking/Cycling Scheme Needed by Friday 24th of July

You may have heard that the Government is offering a programme to implement temporary walking and cycling schemes to help people get out and socially distance due to COVID-19. The Milton Parish Council are considering potential ways that Milton could apply for funding to promote cycling and walking through the village. Please note this does not include general traffic management. However, the Parish Council must receive any comments or ideas before Friday 24th July by emailing Anna Bradnam at anna.bradnam@btinternet.com.

Anna will then collate these ideas and forward these to the Highways Office with her comments and recommendations, with the Highways Office making any final decisions. Any changes will be executed by emergency order and will precede any opportunities to make formal objections. A 6 month operational trial period will follow, which is when feedback will be collected. There is no process for local consultation before measures are put into place so emailing Anna before the 24th July is your only chance to share your thoughts and ideas before changes are potentially implemented.
