Local taxi firm Panther Taxis are offering free transport to and from Cambridge vaccination centres up to the value of £10 each way to those who are vulnerable and without transport, needing ‘door-to-door’ assistance and/or financial support. The company is funding and facilitating these journeys themselves with an initial ‘COVID-19 Fighting Fund’ of £10,000 as a commitment to their local residents and enable vulnerable people to get to their vaccination appointment simply and safely.

Panther Taxis have implemented five main safety features for their journeys to protect their customers and drivers: partitioned vehicles are available; both drivers and passengers to wear face coverings; vehicles are cleaning between journeys; available hand sanitiser; contactless payment.
